Artists Speak

Musicians Take a Stand

Some of the loudest voices in the fight for fair streaming rights are those who are primarily responsible for flagging illegal content — the artists themselves. Musicians are banding together to protest unfair streaming practices and demand that YouTube pay reasonable royalties.

So far, over 2,000 artists — including Bruce Springsteen, U2, Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Beck, Ed Sheeran, Gwen Stefani, Coldplay and ABBA — have joined to petition lawmakers in the US and the EU to revise copyright laws and protect their work.
